Colour me bad

‘So, flying the George Cross has been banned because it will upset all those immigrants.’

‘If they don’t like it they can go home.’

‘Yeah.

‘Yeah.’

I overheard that conversation and decided to find out what it was about. A council ‘up country’ had threatened to inhibit the parading of the St George Cross flags on its taxis for some mixed up idea of advertising. A school didn’t want to allow them, because it just didn’t. Now it does. In all the stories I read, only one person mentioned that there was an unfortunate link to the BNP.

Now why did that conversation I overheard take place? (Answer on a postcard to the usual address, you could win a year’s supply of tulip bulbs, see The lights go out.)
