Muse Flash

July 6th, 2006

Everyone’s favourite pomp rockers Muse released their latest elpee Black
Holes And Revelations this week and after much deliberation our survey says: it’s fab.

So we were pretty excited by the news that the band is working with The
Helen Foundation
, a new arts-based charity for young people in the People’s
Republic, to offer a local act one of those chance of a lifetime-type
thingies.

Yes, they want YOU to support them on stage at the Eden Project! In
Cornwall! In front of 4,000 people! Crikes!

The concert will take place on August 22 and one lucky combo will be chosen by Muse to support them.

Unfortunately, in order to qualify, all band members must be under the aged
of 25, so that rules us out, as well as everyone else who likes to use the
word ‘elpee’.

Nevertheless, if you’re young (pah!) and think you have the skills to pay
the bills, post a history, full description, recent photograph, and contact
details (phone, email and postal address) of your group to Eden Project
Support Act, The Helen Foundation, Broadlands, Shaldon, Devon, TQ14 OEH.

A CD featuring at least six tracks must also be included and entrants must
be based in Devon or Cornwall and currently be unsigned by a record label.
The deadline for all entrants is July 25, so you’d best get cracking.

Details of the successful band will be posted on www.muse.mu and
www.thehelenfoundation.org.uk when the band gets round to it. After all,
they’re Muse for godssakes.
