The future’s Bright the future’s Osaka

Carousel has been doing the rounds, and the Brighton-based organisation which promotes the artistic talent of those with learning disabilities will be popping into the Exeter Phoenix on Tuesday, September 5 in the form of the one-day Osaka Bright Film Festival.

Films on show will include Nuts for Pudding, Bloody Valentine and Cooking with Matthew, and there will be filmmaking and training sessions.

Speaking in the press release, Richard West, one of the organisers of the festival and On The Road programme, said: ‘It’s very important that we recognise people with learning disabilities as filmmakers and artists in our own right and encourage film companies to work with people with learning disabilities.’
