Arthouse proud

Isn’t it a pain trying to find out what’s on at your local arthouse cinema?

Yes, it bally-well is! If you’re not waiting for Teletext listings to scroll through 20 pages, you’re flicking back and forth in the Guardian Guide or logging on to a bunch of different websites.

We at the PRSD say: ‘Enough of this madness!’. Well, we don’t actually say it out-loud, but we think it in our tiny little brains.

Which’s why, from Friday, we’re bringing you our lovely Arthouse Roundup, complete with local cinema listings, links for more details on the films being shown and a shedload of sarky reviews, courtesy of the People’s Republic.

In fact, it’s all the information you could possibly want, all under one ‘roof’.
So, make sure you tune in to your friendly neighbourhood PRSD on Friday.

It’ll be quite good. Honest.

Studio line

More than 70 artists, designers and entrepreneurs gathered last week for the launch of studiospaceone.com, at Plymouth’s hip’n’swinging College Of Art And Design.

Bringing together art students, graduates and professionals, studiospaceone.com is one of those uber-fashionable, online
exhibition-type thingies you read so much about these days - which may be why the likes of Crunch Creative, N9 Design, Zushi and Printing.com were so keen to get involved.

Reps from these companies had a squizz at some of the lovely artwork on display at the launch, while site designers Sam Gray, Gemma Stringer, Adam Lyall and Jay Roerade were on hand for a bit of yap.

All of which sounds Very Glamorous Indeed, doesn’t it, viewers?
