SAY HULLO TO: The Quails
WHO ARE: Dan Steer (vocals, guitar), John Foulkes (guitar), Sam Banks (bass), Chris Prentice (drums) and Max Armstrong (lead guitar)
PEDDLING: Infectious jangle-pop, in a Kinks/Libertines stylee
FROM THEIR BASE IN: Teignmouth
THEY SAY: “The Quails have come up with a fresh new sound, and are gigging around the South West with their catchy tunes and lyrics.”
WE SAY: Lay-zing onna sunny afternooooon…
RANDOM LYRIC: “But then again, it was so much fun, fucking on a beach, don’t tell anyone.”
NEED TO KNOW: Apparently, it was a toss up between The Quails and Hey Molly for the Muse support slot at Eden. Hey Molly pipped the boys at the proverbial post. Blub!
