A bit of green
April 18th, 2007
Want to go green? Would £30,000 help? Just get in touch with E.ON (by their own admission one of the UK’s leading green generators). The offer for green grants is open to communities and not-for-profit groups which want to cut down on carbon emissions.
You could use the money for all kinds of things, from wind turnbines on community hall roofs to extra insulation to cut down on heat loss.
And what’s more, if you need ideas on how to spend these pocketfuls of green, check out the E.ON web resource, called, err, Source. It’s been created to help not-for-profit groups find out how they can lower their carbon emissions. There’s even tips on creating your own energy, that’s after you jump up and down with joy with your fists full of dollars.
Find out more on the E.ON website.
