Hey people, there’s a local election coming up. And as we’re trying to inspire participation our thoughts go out to the bigots and racists who feel themselves under represented, they now can join in the democratic process.

The BNP are fielding 41 candidates in the South West. So are UKIP, but go figa, not many where the BNP are peddling their ridiculous bile. Their manifesto includes: “We have lost control and too many newcomers are settling here – our housing, NHS, schools and services can’t cope.”

South West Searchlight and Unite Against Fascism are trying to co-ordinate the distribution of leaflets to respond to the lies of the far-right and to challenge the myths they spread.
