The whirly gig of the Devon music scene

Phew, the music world down here moves sooo fast. Just last week, the spiffing shindig that was the Art in Devon do at Delamore supped upon the super talents of Jack Woodward and The Quails, who put on stonking performances. Both are signed to the new and emergant Dekoy Records in Exeter.

Numb, also on the Dekoy books, are going from strength to strength (catch them here for them kicking open the Melting Pot Studio Session at the Music Mill studio, Newton Abbot) and are playing at the O2 wireless festival.

Talk of Melting Pot brings us round to our own, AEON’s own and your own Niki, the podcast queen (catch all the latest on the downloads page). You wanna find out what this impressario to end all impressarios is up to (including every Friday’s gig at the Bit on the Side in Paignton and next Friday’s Hot Bitches Gig at the Lemongrove), check out her interview on the Exeter-based Noise Makes Enemies site.

You want more, you’re just going to have to whistle… now that doesn’t sound such a bad idea…
