There’s still time to head along to Chagford Parish Church for 2pm today to listen to the PRSD’s favourite harpist, Elizabeth-Jane Baldry, enrich the place with her rippling recital.
There will be a varied and delicious programme of harp solos from the past 500 years including a couple of movements from the newly composed Slavic Dances by her Paul (significant other, as Armistead Maupin would say, and composer) which were premiered at the Brighton Festival three weeks ago.
‘Even more wonderful than the music will be the utterly delicious tea served afterwards,’ Elizabeth-Jane told the PRSD. ‘The concert is to raise funds for the Chagford Arts Festival. It is really important to have a good audience so we can raise as much money as we can, so please support the festival and tell all your friends who would enjoy a very civilized Sunday afternoon treat.’
Tickets are £7.50 adults, £4.50 children to include tea.
