Favourite faces

Hola, People of the Republic – would you credit it? Our favourite painter has completed a series based on our favourite director.

Plymouth-gal Josie McCoy’s solo show Las Chicas de Almodovar, is at DF Arte Contemporanea in Santiago de Compostela, Spain, from June 16 to July 21, depicts characters from films by Pedro Almodovar including Volver, Bad Education, Live Flesh, High Heels, Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down! and What Have I Done to Deserve This.

We’re chomping at the bit to see it, and if we can scrape together the expenses, we’re off. Donations welcome.

To find out more about Josie McCoy, check out our review of her at the Eyestorm, Exeter.

To read yours truly’s review of Volver, check out D+CFilm.
