High grade swizz

So is it the death knell for Sats, those pesky exams they prime kids for from the age of four? New children’s laureate Michael Rosen isn’t keen on them, that’s for sure.
If you’ve ever picked up one of those Sats booklets and tried to work out what the kids are learning in school nowadays, it wouldn’t be long before you’d start flicking through to find the answers. The lesson – never mark your own stuff. You’re only cheating yourself.

You should pay someone to assess you – if you fail, demand your money back. It’s a win/win. You’re tied into a symbiotic relationship and even better, you’re not cheating yourself, you’re cheating each other.

Spare a thought then for carbon trading schemes, who will verify the verifiers?

Oh, and will the Sats be replaced by logic and common sense or has that definitely been kicked off the curriculum? Let’s not even talk about the joy and power of knoweldge, and errr, questioning.
