Once up a Mutley

Story tellers who would make Max Bygraves (him of the famous epiphet) tremble, such is their narrative power (allegedly), Stone Soup is continuing its Twisted Tales series tonight in the Cellar Bar of The Fortescue, Mutley Plain, Plymouth.

With a little bit of adult content (you’ve got to be over 16 to get in) and performances of folk tales from around the world, there will also be a special selection of tales from the Americas to celebrate Independence Day.

And it’s an open platform for budding storytellers, poets, and
(acoustic) musicians. ‘This section of the event has attracted much interest in the past, and we look forward to welcoming more performers to this part of the evening,’ the story tellers told us here at the People’s Republic of South Devon - turn up and find out if they’re making it up. Doors open at 7:30pm , entertainments from 8pm and admission £3.
