Poetic justice

There once was a man from Devon… if you’re a poet and you feel the urge to write something about Devon, based on local history then the Hidden Histories project could be right up your long and winding road.

You’ve got until December to come up with the 40 lines on the social, mythical, geological or marine past of the county. We’ve not heard for sure, but rhyming Devon with heaven will probably be frowned upon.

Contact gretastoddart@talktalk.net for more details or to send your poem. Or send your poem with your name and contact details in an envelope marked Hidden Histories (Creative Writing), to Sam Mather, Department of English, University of Exeter, Queen’s Building, The Queen’s Drive Exeter EX4 4QH
