There is an old Tavistock saying that goes: ‘To look at history makes you blind in one eye. To ignore history makes you blind in both eyes.’
A free conference organised by Exeter Unison will be be held on November 23 to highlight some of the hidden history of trade unions and the working class in the West Country. The all-day event will give people practical advice about how to discover and store archives and will expose some of the fascinating stories that are often overlooked in the region’s history.
