Yes we have a banana

Still struggling with all that packaging from Christmas? The Local Government Association is stepping up a concerted campaign to combat the excessive packaging and is calling for tougher laws so companies can’t justify their actions on ‘consumer acceptance’ and ‘marketing’.

Of course, local retailers and market stalls produce much less packaging and that packaging is more recyclable. Read the LGA’s report War on Waste: food packaging study: wave 1, in pdf form.
