Artists of the world unite!

Well, artists of Devon anyway. And it’s not so much as unite as go along to a bunch of events to find out about what’s in store for this year’s Devon Open Studio event, which is due to take place between September 6 and 21.

•    Drewsteignton – Mon 21 January at 7.30pm. Drewsteignton church.
•    Paignton – Tues 22 Jan at 6.30pm. Palace Theatre, Paignton.
•    Totnes – Wed 23 January at 7pm. Repton Room, Follaton House, South Hams District Council offices.
•    Newton Abbot – Thurs 24 January at 6pm. Forde House, Teignbridge DC offices.
•    Exeter – Mon 28 January at 7pm. Art Terracina Gallery, Exeter Quay.
•    Tavistock – Tues 29 January at 7pm. The Wharf Arts Centre, Tavistock.
•    Sidmouth – Wed 30 January at 6.45pm. East Devon District Council offices, Knowle, Sidmouth.
•    Barnstaple - Thu 31 January at 6pm. Museum of Barnstaple and North Devon.

This year’s plan will feature a series of open studio art ‘trails’ across Devon. Artists will group themselves into geographical areas and a Trail Map will be produced for each one. There will be around 20 – 24 venues per trail. High quality food producers in each Trail area such as farm shops, cafes, pubs and delis will also be featured on the maps.
