Movement on road plans
January 23rd, 2008

Roll up, roll up, the latest South Devon Link Road – that’s the Kingskerswell Bypass to you – exhibition kicks off on Thursday January 24, and is intended to inform residents of the Compulsory Purchase Orders and Side Road Order (whatever they are). The bypass has been planned since 1951, so don’t miss the latest installment - it’s a bit like Coronation Street (if Coronation Street was a bypass).
The display starts at Kingskerswell Community and Leisure Centre on Thursday from 4pm to 8pm, and continues on Friday 25 January from 10am to 8pm and on Saturday 26 January from 10am to 6pm. It then moves to St Luke’s Church Hall at Milber, Newton Abbot, on Thursday 31 January from 10am to 6pm, before ending up at Central Church in Tor Hill Road, Torquay, on Friday 1 February from 2pm to 8pm and on Saturday 2 February from 10am to 6pm.
Go and ‘ave a gander to see what it all means before the plans are published. From our understanding in the PRSD office it’s around the same place that one of the projects of Connect2 (those from Sustrans who won The People’s 50 Million for their travel network plans).
