Through the Art Mill

Two students from Plymouth College of Art and Design will be exhibiting their work at the new Art Mill Gallery when it re-opens in a new central Plymouth location next week.
The show, which runs from March 7-29, features the work of BA Fine Art students Steve Neill and Jenni Jayarajah.
Jenni, from Tavistock, told the PRSD: “The idea behind collaborating for this exhibition was due to the way our art practices complement each others. Exploring minority issues and shaping general perceptions through art, features strongly in our work.”
Steve, from Plympton St Maurice, explains: “The concept of my art leans towards the more expressionist approach. The artist’s hands, rags and bleach can shape an idea. Painting with my bare hands has brought me closer to my work and it also means that I can completely lend myself to this euphoric experience. My technique changes slightly every now and then, depending on the current notions inhabiting my mind.”
