Helen Snell's award

It’s Plymouth Media Partnership time again people, and even though we aren’t up for an award this year (don’t all boo and hiss at once), we are still kinda connected with a sure fire winner. And those glamour-pusses are only following where we and D+CFilm led.

The two films which are up for the indi film award are Revenge of the Jazz Hoodies and Small Change, both of which picked up the D+CFilm awards (designed specially by Helen Snell with electonic tricker by George Lazenbleep) at the D+CFilm sponsored Two Short Nights film festival at the Exeter Phoenix.

Both films were Exeter Phoenix media centre bursary winners and Jazz Hoodies picked up the overall award and Small Change ran away with the audience prize.

In fact, way back in June, producer of Small Change, Rosie Kuhn put the call out for actors and assistants on D+CFilm.

So good luck to you guys!

Also up for a prize is Jon Croose of Means of Production Community Arts, whose support of the republic has been appreciated.
