Artefacts (theater preview)
posted by Cptn

As Cervantes once said: “Make it thy business to know thyself, which is the most difficult lesson in the world.” Which is kinda where Artefacts, the new play that starts today at the Drum Theatre is coming from.
Regular 16-year-old Kelly finds out that she’s half Iraqi and so begins a dangerous and eye-opening journey (and Boris has only been in power five minutes). The result, so we’re told, is a tender and provocative play about family, identity and the clash of cultures.
The play is written by Mike Bartlett and includes Peter Polycarpou, Karen Ascoe, “exciting new-comers” Lizzy Watts and Amy Hamdoon, and Iraqi theatre star Mouna Albakry.
Artefacts is on at the Drum Theatre, Plymouth from today (Tuesday May 6 to Saturday May 10)
