Marine Bill

May 13th, 2008

Is the marine bill all at sea?

Uniquely Devon has two coastlines, which is why the implications of the Marine Bill will be discussed at the Devon Maritime Forum at the Royal William Yard, Plymouth on May 15.

Apparently, “discussions will help shape the final detail of the Marine Bill, announced this spring and which will be introduced in 2009″, and more than 100 delegates will pootle along to the sea-front setting.

According to the press release: “The Bill will be the single most important piece of legislation to help safeguard the marine environment, and the people who use it. Devon Maritime Forum believes that it will present the south west with unique opportunities for our coastal towns and economies.”
