The Great Create has rolled into Greenways for another month of multi disciplinary arts extravaganzas.
There are 35 sculptures popped around the Agatha Christie’s former garden and a whole smogesbord of art events.

We caught up with the brains behind the operation, Emma Carter.
“It was such a success last year,” she told the PRSD. “There were 75 artists exhibiting and 11,000 people attended. The long-term plan has been to build up to the re-opening of the house in 2009.”
Another of the event’s strengths – other than the location, and the quality and quality of work and activities available – is the cross-arts element, which hopes to introduce new disciplines to those who may have turned up for something else.

But it’s also a great reflection of the strength and depth of arts and artists in the south west, and the plan is to make the whole thing as accessible as possible, which seems to be working.
The Bay has never been more bustling – Emma’s involved in plans for a Torre Abbey festival later in the year; there’s the Torquay Fringe festival in August and the comedy film festival in September – to name but three. So get out there and get involved.
The Great Create runs on every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday until July 6, at Greenway House, Galmpton. Check out the site for details of events and directions.
