Who, what, where, when and why are these posh ladies

From today you can take the challenge of spotting-the-place in the Location? Location? Location? challenge and help in solving pictorial mysteries from the region.

Organised by Devon County Council’s Westcountry Studies Library in Exeter, there will be a display in the glass wallcases in the foyer of Exeter Central Library until June 29, and another in the Westcountry Studies Library in Castle Street itself which will continue into mid-July. And you can go to the exhibition online.

Last year well over a third of the pictures were identified.

The Westcountry Studies Library has an ongoing programme to catalogue and digitise its illustrations collection - a mammoth task seeing as there are some 100,000 illustrations.
