The British, who weren't really British but were Wessex Saxons and originally Germans, beat the Danes who had lived in Yorkshire for generations. We, that is the Anglo-Saxons, lost in 1066 to the French, who were really Normans who were originally Vikings. But we did lose in the Crimea - although we actually won. Scott was defeated - actually he just froze to death. You kip if you want to, I'm off to my History 11+, a great British tradition!"</description>
