After all, Exeter isn't that far from Bristol or Southampton. I realise that to attract investment and to be able to override environmental concerns, big business does need to exaggerate the benefits to a local area. However, surely they must have noticed rising oil prices and discussed the possibility that Peak Oil could be a real and imminent threat to their plans?
