Oddfest for music

Oddfest

Bank holidays are sooo exciting, especially when you can shuffle your stuff in the sand to the sound of some of the hottest local music around. And that’s exactly what Oddfest is all about at Oddicombe beach bank holiday Monday (August 25) from noon.

The line up, put together by the Devon Music Collective includes such musical luminaries as the Weaver Twins, Kolo, Le Chat Noir, Memo, Diverted Traffic, Emily Howard, Kat Marsh and Ground Zero.

Nick Hallam, from DMC (we don’t know if he runs it… geddit?), told the PRSD: “With such gorgeous beaches and such huge music talent growing in and around Torbay it’s time the two got put together and Oddicombe Beach is the perfect venue for this intimate event that makes the best of both.

“The festival does rely on the weather holding, it looks good for the weekend, but we will have to cancel if it’s raining.”

The festival will raise funds for the Project’s free Rock School for young people the festival is free and refreshments, with a full licensed bar, can be bought from the Beach Café, with transport on hand from the unique Oddicombe Cliff Railway.

And just to get you in the mood, here’s Kat Marsh.
