Paper apologises for taxi slur
posted by Cptn

Here at the PRSD offices we are cheering the Western Morning News’ apology to our favourite (ish) MP - the reet Honorable Anthony Steen, of the South Hams.
Seems the WMN alleged a whole raft of outrageous taxi expenses for the MP , who infamously parked in a disabled bay at Newton Abbot train station last year. Rubbish, of course, because Steeny, as nobody calls him, rarely takes the taxi.
What strikes us from the apology is that MPs battle with heavy cases and papers, and they seem to cart these around wherever they go. Sounds uncomfortable and not too efficient. Is it about time that these well-paid executives of the people learned to work a bit more ’smartly’?
Answers on a easily mislaid memory stick, please… or you could just email…
