From ‘tombstoners’ to scuba divers
posted by Cptn
We stumbled upon this the early-morning banner operation in Plymouth. A little more digging on the Proud to be a Plymouth Charity catchphrase (not the pithiest, but what the hey) revealed the waterside city’s newest initiative.
There’s a clue at the end of the film… the National Marine Aquarium, it seems, is a new charity, which aims to fund education, conservation and support and all things ‘marine’ for the sea-side city.
With the intent “to raise enough money to put 50 ‘tombstoners’ through scuba dive training; to transport youngsters from underfunded local schools to visit the aquarium and to provide a Saturday club for Plymouth children.”
