Yes, I’m back in the UK after a totally wonderful week in Germany.
I really had the time of my life and got to hang out with some wicked people.
Being a singer/songwriter can be a pretty lonely path to walk along at times, and a lot of the time you feel as though it’s you versus the world… but if ever I feel as though I’m alone again, I need to remind myself of this German Tour and that I really couldn’t be further from the truth.
There are so many lovely people who put in an awful lot of their time and energy just to organise all these gigs for little old me, and also people who travelled from here, there and everywhere just to get to a gig and say hi. It really is a wonderful feeling and I’m so very lucky to have experienced all this – so thanks everyone for a great week and I really hope I get to see you again soon!
It was incredible to have one of my gigs up in the Alps and to see them with my own eyes – they really are an impressive sight. Plus it was pretty wicked to see all that snow!! lol
Friday’s gig with Elli Erl was also pretty kewl. The venue was nothing like what I imagined it would be. You had to drive out of town and through this forest, and it was as if you just accidentally came across it! But it was a wonderfully quirky little place crammed full of character and it turned out to be a really fun evening.
Elli and I had decided to play two 30 minutes each and then at the end of our sets we blagged three cover songs together, which was seriously good fun. Hopefully, they’ll be some Youtube footage online at some point so you can have a chuckl
All in all it was a great week full of happy memories for me… hope I can be back there again soon
