Glamorous fashion at Living Coasts in aid of conservation

You can’t swing a feather boa without hitting a fashion show at the moment, and the Fashion with Passion show at Living Coasts, Torquay, on Wednesday, February 18, will offer more than penguin suits, with glamorous fashion and outfits made from recycled and unwanted materials waddling down the catwalk, oh and the proceeds go towards conservation projects.

Students from South Devon College and Torquay Girls Grammar School have produced a collection called Trash to Treasure, inspired by recycling and the art of reusing unwanted materials.

The show also features Fair Trade jewellery, umbrellas, Wellington boots and accessories from Tradewinds, the Living Coasts shop. Shoes will be shown off by a group of burlesque dancers.

Tickets are available from Living Coasts at £7.95 each (no concessions). For more information, telephone 01803 202470 or 01803 697509.
