Land to build two affordable homes for wheelchair users in Newton Abbot was sold for £1.
Teignbridge District Council sold the land – a former garage next to Sandringham Park, Buckland – to Teign Housing for the round, sound price in return for the rights to house families on its waiting list.
The project is expected to start by the end of the month.
