£28,000 for job as advisor for Torbay Tory councillors

It is nice to know there are still jobs knocking around, especially in deprived areas, which is why the job as an assistant to help Conservative Torbay councillors with research, communication skills and a high degree of political judgement is so refreshing. Those areas have been lacking in the Bay for years… and who can argue with £24,331 to £28,270 a year?

To bag the £28,000 to prize you’ll also need tact, diplomacy and a ‘can do’ attitude. The job is a fixed term until May 2011, so if you’re after this kind of work then you’d best jump to it, who knows when the admin/advisor/research to the Lib Dems will become available – the closing date is 5pm, Tuesday April 14, which means you’ll have the whole of Easter to polish your credentials.

For more details and the whole application thing, go to the Torbay Council jobs site.

Now where is that CV we prepared for The Apprentice…

  • We’ve found out a little bit more about the background to this job. According to the Herald Express, the previous incumbent, Becca Adams, resigned after she gave evidence against a Tory councillor Jeanette Richards, who was accused of disrespecting an officer.

The paper says Becca claimed she was ‘targeted by councillors’ and’ living in fear of the next conspiracy theory’ against her.
