The Tabernacle Arts Cafe, which is featured (poetically) in the latest arts+culture magazine, is the ‘go to’ organisation for this year’s Exeter Open Studio.
It used to be that Exeter City Council was able to offer support for the weekend-long arts event, but that is no longer the case.
Fin Irwin, of The Tabernacle Arts Cafe, told the PRSD: “It has now become an autonomous event and needs the support of those who create art and those who like art. The Tabernacle Arts Café will take an active role in promoting and exhibiting.
“You don’t have to have an exhibition in your house and you don’t have to exhibit on your own. You might like to collaborate with another artist or artists and exhibit in a cafe or disused shop.”
So, artists of Exeter unite for Exeter Open Studios.
The fees for exhibiting are: individual artist, £85, or £150 for up to three artists, and £175 for grops of more than three artists.
The dates for this year’s Exeter Open Studios is Friday, November 6 to Sunday, November 8
