There’s something so flexibly utilitarian about umbrellas, they are fun whatever the weather, and you can design and decorate your very own fiesta umbrella on Saturday, May 2 at the Barbican Plymouth, ready for the Grand Festival Jazz Parade on Bank Holiday Monday, May 4.
The Carnival Parade workshops will be held between 10am and noon and 1pm and 3pm at the Barbican Theatre on Saturday, May 2 by the Stiltskin theatre people, who will be performing their Pesky Pishkie street theatre during the parade.
The umbrellas are provided by City Bus and First bus companies, and to get a place on the workshop (price £3.50, and suitable for ages eight and above), you need to book. Call 01752 294738 or email info@stiltskin.org.uk
