Wolves Land in Newton Abbot? The town’s transition group celebrates first anniversary with historic walk

The Transition Newton Abbot team has organised a walk to celebrate its anniversary, to kick off from St Leondard’s Tower, Wolborough Street on Sunday July 12 at 11am.

The walk is entitled, “Wolves Land, Newfoundland, Bengal, leather thigh boots, citizens’ initiatives, non-conformists, an influx of teachers, cod, leather, clay and granite – come and hear how all these things fit into the rich tapestry of Newton Abbot”, which you might just about say in the two-and-a-half hours of the walk.

For more details on the historic amble through the town, visit the Transition Newton Abbott site, or contact walk organiser Helen Chessum on hchessum@onetel.com
