South West Lib Dem MEP Graham Watson to no longer lead the Liberal Group

Spare a thought for newly re-elected South West Lib Dem MEP Graham Watson today. Graham has been Leader of the Liberal group in the European Parliament for seven-and-a-half years and today he hands the mantle over.

The successor looks likely to be former Belgian Prime Minister Guy Verhofstadt.

But do not worry, the South West packs a punch with its politicians what with the likes of Ben Bradshaw as Culture Secretary, Richard Younger-Ross as enquirer into heritage buildings, and Anthony Steen as man with a big house.
