Paignton filmmaker Ashley Wing’s rather excellent Poppies has finally been accepted by the BBC Film Network – some nine months after its completion.

Film Network is the BBC’s interactive showcase for new British filmmakers, screening three short films in broadband quality every week.

Readers of PRSD’s sister site, D+CFilm, will already be familiar with Poppies. Not only was the film selected for the D+CFilm Open Screening for the Two Short Nights film festival, but it was also included in the View From Here film festival.

Head over to D+CFilm to read more about Poppies, and to find out what Ashley’s currently working on.
