Radio Free South West People's Chart for September

Not only can you listen to music – signed and unsigned – from throughout the South West on Radio Free South West, but you can also vote on the tunes for the people’s chart. The ballots have been counted and here’s the latest results.

Chris Woods’ track Jilted Groove has rocketed to the top spot of the Radio Free South West people’s chart.

Chris somehow manages to find the time to compose and perform in between teaching guitar and running Exmouth Festival. Chris has a unique style of playing which employs hammering, tapping and “fanning” techniques. You can next catch Chris live at the Exeter Phoenix at 3pm on Sunday, October 18.

All-female Exeter based three piece Sound of the Sirens have shot to the number two spot with their track Shoelaces. The girls have a broad range of influences including Blondie, Fall Out Boy and Coldplay. And you can next catch them live at the Anchor Inn, Cockwood at 8pm on Sunday, October 18.

Eat The Rich take the number three spot with their track Bull Bars. Eat The Rich are influenced by The Clash, The Pogues, Billy Bragg and The Levellers amongst others. You can next catch them live at the Ring O’Bells, Chagford at 9pm on Saturday, October 24.

It is your votes that determine the Top 10 ratings each month. So feel free to cast yours while you are listening to Radio Free South West by giving a track either a thumbs up or thumbs down.
