We attended a seminar at Bicton College recently, hosted by SW Food & Drink, and have to say were really impressed by their enthusiasm to promote the South West - such a refreshing change from the lack lustre efforts of some other organisations within the Region. As the Directors of Devonshire Tea, we are passionate about promoting all that's best about our County and Region, which is why our packaging directs people to our website to find out about Devonshire. We are talking to the guys at SW Food & Drink about a number of opportunities to promote the County and Region to the overseas audience, something we're already doing by virtue of our name (Devonshire is famous the world over for Cream Teas), and great social networking sites like Twitter, where we are already being followed by many people in the United States, Australia, New Zealand, mainland Europe... oh & the UK too!! We're also working with UK Trade and Investment, on their Passport to Export initiative, with a view to taking Devonshire Tea outside of the UK.... BEST WISHES to Christine and everyone at SW Food & Drink, and have to say Darts Farm is a pretty good place to meet about Regional Food, given the commitment shown by James, Michael and their team there... Regards Gavin and Debbie
