The Devon School for Social Entrepreneurs has a fully funded £10,000 place up for grabs for a wannabe creative or cultural industry leader.
The first Devon School for Social Entrepreneurs begins in January 2010, and they are currently recruiting individuals who would like to learn how to be a better social entrepreneur.
The money for the place comes from the Cultural Leadership Programme.
Matt Griffiths, project manager for the Devon School for Social Entrepreneurs told the PRSD: “This funding from the Cultural Leadership Programme is fantastic news. It will enable SSE to work with a cultural entrepreneur based in Devon to develop their socially-minded creative business idea to the next level, ultimately to the benefit of the local community.”
Seems like there’s a slew of social leadership programmes at the moment, with Cosmic being funded to offer leadership training, and Co-Active and Business Link getting together to provide a number of courses into December.
The Devon School for Social Entrepreneurs is recruiting its first group of students to join the learning programme, which runs from January to December 2010. Interviews will be held in November.
Applicants should be based in Devon and work on their ideas for a minimum of three days per week, with a view to becoming full-time.
For more information on applying for a place with Devon SSE’s new programme, contact Kate Hewett, learning manager, on 01803 847066 or email de...@sse.org.uk.
