South West Environmentalists Who Act (Exact) will join Plymouth CND and various other anti-nuclear groups in Plymouth on Saturday, October 31 to protest government plans to extend Plymouth’s role as a dump for redundant radioactive nuclear subs.
According to CND: “There are already eight rusting radioactive hulks stored only a few hundred metres from homes and schools in the midst of Plymouth, with more due to arrive in the coming years.”
Protestors are asked to assemble at noon at Plymouth Guildhall, or at 2pm at Devonport Park.
They will be joined by several green groups from throughout the UK, and with it being Halloween, expect ghoulish radioactive themed costumes.
