Two devon councils ride high in latest recycling leagues

Devon district councils are top notch when it comes to recycling – two of them are in the top four in the country, according to the latest Defra figures.

South Hams was second in the league table of recycling rates with 57.07 per cent of its household waste being recycled or composted, with Teignbridge not far behind in fourth, and a rate of 55.58.

(Leading the table is East Lindsey district council with a 58.4 per cent rate.)
