Teignbridge Council has unanimously agreed to support the Reheat Britain campaign, to such an extent it is seeking external funding to run a local boiler scrappage scheme, if national government won’t back the national one.
Reheat Britain, which was inspired by the government’s car scrappage scheme, is a campaign to create a boiler scrappage scheme where the replacement of uneconomical, wasteful boilers can be carried out with a subsidy, thereby sustaining the industry, cutting fuel bills and fighting climate change.
