Worried about the South Devon rail service? Teignbridge MP to meet First Great Western Boss

Teignbridge MP Richard Younger-Ross will meet the managing director of First Great Western Mark Hopwood on Wednesday, November 18. Seems people are increasingly concerned about the rail service in South Devon.

Four items figure high on the agenda: heavy overcrowding on school trains; the reduction of train services to Paddington and Waterloo (especially from Teignmouth and Dawlish); a shortage of early morning trains to Plymouth; and lack of staff at some of the local stations.

Richard told the PRSD: “Over the last couple of months there has been a steady increase in the number of constituents contacting the office with their concerns over First Great Western services. The meeting tomorrow will give me the opportunity to raise these with Mr Hopwood and discuss a way forward.”
