The Exeter Phoenix is undergoing a rebrand, and like a Phoenix from the flames… make that like The Exeter Phoenix from the flames, no… make that Exeter Phoenix… make that Exeter Arts Centre… er… anyway, the new name kicks in from Saturday, December 5.
Please note – as we don’t – that the definite article is dropped from the Exeter Phoenix to make it funky, and down with the kids (even the National Trust is trying it – sorry, that should read ‘even National Trust is trying it’ – see how it works so well?).
Whether the ‘the’ will be still be dismissed for the new name of the Exeter Phoenix, we don’t know. What we do know is that the Exeter Phoenix Media Centre will the know as Exeter Phoenix Digital (maybe that means the galleries will be called Exeter Phoenix Art-icle – one for the linguists).
We also know is that there’s always something better to spend your money on than a rebrand – although they do go down well with committee types.
If you have any suggestions for the new monicker of the old Exeter Arts Centre, drop us a line, and remember these are the people that call the Two Short Nights film festival 2SNFF…
