Park and ride? Parking meter excess could fund Torbay bus passes

What with the concessionary bus passes coming under scrutiny by the bean counters, we thought we’d pass on this news from the Bus Driving blog on the news that £200,000 more than expected has been raised from parking meters in Torbay.

The surplus is likely to fund other projects, such at the concessionary bus fair.

“As an avid user of a concessionary bus pass and a Torbay Council tax payer I would like to extend a big thank you to all those car owners who have been putting money in the meters,” says David over on Bus Driving.
