Richard Younger-Ross MP will visit his Teignbridge Royal Mail delivery offices to see how postmen and women in the area get Christmas sorted.
The MP will take a tour of Dawlish and Teignmouth on Friday, December 4 and Newton Abbot on Monday, December 7, to see how they deal with the festive mail.
Richard will make an early start in order to meet Kevin Greenaway at Dawlish, Brian Smith at Teignmouth and Robert Kruyswijk at Newton Abbot, and some of the 183 postmen and women, who are responsible for ensuring that Devon’s massive Christmas mailbag is delivered to over 40,000 addresses at Royal Mail’s busiest time of year.
Richard told the PRSD: “I know that postmen and women are working around the clock to get all the mail delivered on time to avoid disappointment at Christmas. I receive a great deal of mail throughout the year and my annual visit to our local delivery offices allows me to pass on my own personal thanks to everyone at Royal Mail for an excellent service at all times.”
The visits will be in time to post any cards and presents for delivery before Christmas, with the last recommended posting date on Monday, December 21 for First Class mail.
