The spindles that turn the cogs of power keep spinning, and your South Devon MPs have been busy in Parliament ferreting away for answers, non-answers and self congratulation.
East Devon MP Hugo Swire was wondering if and when the Department of Transport plans to respond to the Napoli public inquiry conducted by Devon County Council. ‘In due course’ came the non-answer.
Surprisingly, Torbay MP Adrian Sanders was wondering about a referendum on EU membership – as well as challenging the level VAT, and heaps more besides.
Linda Gilroy, MP for Plymouth, Sutton, was able to ask one of those questions that lets Labour congratulate itself, this time on Building Schools for the Future (as opposed to the disastrous policy of building schools for the past, which would never have worked, not without a time machine, anyway).
And Totnes’ Anthony Steen is banging on about Human Trafficking and missing persons.
