Dartington campaigns against climate change with art and radio events

Dartington is campaigning for positive environmental change in the run up to the UN Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen with a selection of free events on Saturday, December 5.

Text from artists, thinkers, world commentators and others will be projected onto Dartington’s courtyard buildings from 5pm on Saturday, prior to a Great Hall performance by celebrated folk artist Chris Wood a 7.30pm.

The event also includes screenings of a series of artists’ short films in the Gallery from 5.30pm to 7.30pm. And Soundart Radio will broadcast programmes throughout the day that address climate issues and track how Devon’s temperatures have changed across recent generations using local people’s experiences and memories of winter.

A small group of staff members from Schumacher College also plan to attend the conference in Copenhagen.
