Cole Stacey takes the top spot of the Radio Free South West people's chart for November

Cole Stacey‘s tune I Met A Stranger moved up one place this month to take the number one spot on the Radio Free South West Listern’s chart.

Described by Show of Hands’ Steve Knightley  as ‘an impassioned and ambitious young songwriter’, Cole Stacey has a rapidly growing reputation. During 2009 Cole has had airplay on many radio stations, performed at scores of venues and festivals nationwide, supported acts such as Megson (Radio 2 Folk Award Nominees) and has worked with top producer Simon Greenwood. With two released EPs bringing airplay and acclaim, Cole’s debut album will be hitting the market in January 2010 and will be accompanied by a UK tour. You can next catch him live at Almondsbury Church, Almondsbury at 8pm on Thursday, December 10.

Sound of the Sirens take the number two spot this month The girls took part in the final of the Exeter FM/Song for Force Battle of the Bands Competition at The Anchor Inn in Cockwood on Sunday, November 29 – and won!  You can next catch them live at the Orange Tree, Honiton at 8pm on Friday, December 11.

The Sidewalk Anthem take the number three spot with their track Matters Of The Heart.  They are influenced by artists such Sufjan Stevens, Rosie Thomas and Denison Witmer. You can next catch them live at the Amber Rooms, Exeter at 8pm on Monday, December 7.
